The Avocent® remote office solution combines Avocent MergePoint® SPM 5300 service processor manager software and LANDesk Patch Manager software to simplify remote management of the service processors (SPs) on servers, and to provide vulnerability scanning and automated patch management on desktops and laptops. The Avocent Remote Office Solution utilizes the Application eXtension Platform (AXP) available with the Cisco 2800 and 3800 families of Integrated Services Routers (ISR), and does not require any additional hardware.
